Job Overview

This role involves performing, evaluating, and monitoring laboratory tests, ensuring quality and accuracy, and supporting critical care departments. The position requires compliance with accreditation standards and supporting various specialty testing areas.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform and evaluate laboratory tests within established protocols, adjusting workflow as needed.
  2. Evaluate test results for clinical significance and follow reporting policies.
  3. Calibrate and maintain instruments; perform quality control and corrective actions.
  4. Recognize instrument malfunctions and perform proficiency testing.
  5. Collect specimens from patients and ensure proper labeling and suitability.
  6. Provide technical support to Phlebotomists and staff.
  7. Support quality improvement and ensure compliance with standards.
  8. Perform specialty testing and support disease-specific accreditation.
  9. Provide timely results for critical care departments during high acuity events.
  10. Demonstrate knowledge appropriate to patient age and development stages.
Qualifications
