Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: MLT or Medical Technologist, DayShift Potential for 3x12's Position Purpose: Up to $10,000 Sign On Bonus The Medical Technologist/ Medical Laboratory Technician performs laboratory testing. Has knowledge of the clinical significance of results, monitors and understands operation of instrumentation, and reports results accurately and rapidly.

What you'll do:

• Performs all clinical testing in assigned department.
• Records and reports test results accurately and promptly.
• Performs and interprets quality control testing following established guidelines.
• Maintains a high level of quality assurance.
• Practices established safety procedures, including Universal Precautions and proper use of safety equipment.
• Able to recognize a problem by following prescribed strategies and make necessary corrections.
• Where no present criteria for decisions are available, will consult with supervisor/manager.
• In absence of supervisor/manager, will act to determine final decision.
• Coordinates and evaluates new reagents, procedures and equipment as requested by supervisor/manager.
• Performs routine scheduled and specialized maintenance of laboratory equipment.

This colleague will work 630a -3p and/or 3x12's depending on staffing.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology, associate's degree in medical laboratory Technician, or related field.
• Licensure / Certification: Certification from American Society of Clinical Pathologists, equivalent; eligible for certification. If applicable, must maintain active certification.
• Experience: Preferred, but not required.
