Job summary

Sauk Prairie Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform clinical laboratory testing across Chemistry, Hematology, Serology, Urinalysis, Microbiology and more.

Under general supervision, you will coordinate and ensure quality control, maintain equipment, and provide accurate, timely results, with duties spanning multiple lab disciplines. You will lead lab activities, support ongoing training, and contribute to performance improvement initiatives while upholding patient safety

Qualifications

• Education: degree in Medical Technology or health science meeting CLIA high complexity requirements.
• Certification: MT/MLS by ASCP or eligible; must obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Experience: None required; 3 years hospital/reference lab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing across Chemistry, Hematology, Serology, Urinalysis, Microbiology and more.
• Ensure accurate, timely results and maintain quality control procedures.
• Coordinate, direct and QA/QC of designated areas and/or equipment.
• Maintain instrument uptime through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Prepare specimens and route tests to reference labs when needed.
• Lead department tasks and participate in performance improvement activities.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Sciences

ASCP MT/MLS certification or eligible

MLT with HEW/AMT or ASCP equivalent certification
