Job summary
Florida Medical Center seeks a Generalist Medical Laboratory Technologist/MLT to rotate through blood bank, chemistry, coagulation, hematology, microbiology and urinalysis. You will perform manual and automated routine blood tests, prepare specimens for microscopy, and operate lab equipment with guidance from senior staff.
The ideal candidate has completed an accredited MLT/MLS program and passed a national exam such as ASCP or equivalent, with Florida licensure.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited MLT/MLS program.
- Passing a national exam by ASCP or equivalent.
- Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist license.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual and automated routine blood tests.
- Prepare specimens for microscope examination.
- Rotate through blood bank, chemistry, coagulation, hematology, microbiology and urinalysis.
- Operate laboratory equipment with experience and judgment.
- Maintain quality and safety standards.
