Job summary

Valley Health in Michigan is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform automated and manual testing across Blood Bank, Chemistry, Coagulation, Hematology, Microbiology and Serology. You will support patient care for all ages and assist with instrument maintenance and calibration QC.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, the ability to prioritize tasks, and professional communication under stress. Bachelor’s degree in a lab science and relevant license may be required.

Qualifications

• Primary Source Verification is required.
• Demonstrates knowledge/competence in providing service to patients of all ages including neonate, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
• Demonstrates knowledge/competence in the performance of diagnostic testing applying DNv patient safety initiatives and applies these to all aspects of patient care.
• Ability to consistently pay attention to detail while maintaining quality and productivity required.

Responsibilities

• Perform automated and manual testing in Blood Bank, Chemistry, Coagulation, Hematology, Microbiology and Serology.
• Perform instrument maintenance and be competent to interpret calibrations and QC.
• Prioritize work and maintain a professional demeanor under stress.
