TriCities Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Medical Technologist. You will perform general lab duties, ensure quality control, and maintain competency across sections. A strong emphasis on training, safety, and adherence to JCAHO goals is required.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology or related field; an Associate degree with MT certification is acceptable, with MT/MLS certification obtained within six months of hire. Competitive benefits available.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related science required.
• Associate Degree with MT certification accepted in lieu of Bachelor's.
• Medical Technologist (ASCP) or Medical Laboratory Scientist must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Adhere to general lab policies and department procedures; follow regulatory guidelines.
• Demonstrate independent judgment with minimal supervision.
• Maintain competency in all designated lab sections and complete required training.
• Participate in annual mandatory trainings and continuing education.
• Assist with specimen receiving and supplies as needed; organize daily tasks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve instrument problems; document corrective actions.
• Perform quality control and maintain logs within approved limits.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and safety checks on equipment as scheduled.
• Train new employees and students in lab policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate cultural competence and communicate procedures to diverse customers.
• Comply with Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals and related policies.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
