TechyPeople.Net is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Technologist II with histology lab experience to support specimen processing, staining, and routine QC. You will work closely with pathologists and lab staff to ensure timely, accurate results and maintain high safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in histology, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while upholding quality and compliance with SOPs.

Formación

• 2+ years of histology laboratory experience with competency in microtomy/cutting, embedding, and routine staining.
• Strong attention to detail with a high emphasis on quality.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing laboratory priorities and work independently or in a team.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine and non-routine histology activities, including sectioning/microtomy and H&E staining.
• Prepare reagents, solutions, and laboratory controls.
• Monitor and process laboratory workflow queues.
• Perform and document equipment maintenance and calibration.
• Support specimen processing and sample returns as needed.
• Collaborate with pathologists and lab staff to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Process specimens supporting research and development studies.
• Support histopathology workflow, protocol, and SOP development.
• Identify opportunities for process and quality improvements.
• Maintain stringent laboratory quality and safety standards.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Technologist II with histology laboratory experience to support high-quality specimen processing and laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine histology activities, including sectioning/microtomy and H&E staining.
• Prepare reagents, solutions, and laboratory controls.
• Monitor and process laboratory workflow queues.
• Perform and document equipment maintenance and calibration.
• Support specimen processing and sample returns as needed.
• Work closely with pathologists, laboratory associates, and other stakeholders to ensure specimens are processed accurately and on time.
• Process specimens supporting research and development studies.
• Support histopathology workflow, protocol, and SOP development.
• Identify opportunities for process and quality improvements.
• Maintain stringent laboratory quality and safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a histology laboratory, including competency in microtomy/cutting, embedding, and routine staining.
• Strong attention to detail with a high emphasis on quality.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing laboratory priorities.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• ASCP certification – Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) preferred.
