Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Laboratory Technologist to perform a variety of tests and report data to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. You will work under supervision, with potential concentration in Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, or Microbiology, and with no supervision needed for specimen processing or reporting results.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology and three years of related experience. ASCP MT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's degree or successful completion of an accredited four-year school of Medical Technology.
• Preferred: ASCP certification as MT.
• Experience: Three years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows established protocols to perform various tests across the laboratory.
• Interprets and correlates clinical test results with patient history and conditions.
• Troubleshoots testing process discrepancies.
• Assists in development of new tests and quality procedures.
• Ensures test results meet the laboratory quality control program.
