The Medical Technologist I position involves performing routine and specialized moderate and high complexity laboratory tests on blood and body fluids, under minimal supervision. You will adhere to quality control, maintain instruments, and assist in data collection for regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include phlebotomy when needed, teaching, and supporting patient care with accurate, timely results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• Passing score on CLT Proficiency exam approved by HHS.
• 0-2 years acute care experience required.

Responsabilités

• Performs moderate and high complexity tests accurately and reports results with documentation.
• Adheres to quality control procedures and corrects out-of-range results.
• Performs instrument checks and preventive maintenance as per policy.
• Troubleshoots instrument issues and notifies appropriate personnel.
• Ensures safety regulations and uses PPE per Laboratory Safety Plan.
• Supports patient care through timely testing and data collection.
• Collects urine drug screens and performs phlebotomy as needed.
• Collaborates with team to complete shift duties efficiently.
