Job summary

CHS Career Site is seeking a Medical Technologist I for part-time evenings. The role performs routine and specialized laboratory tests with emphasis on quality control and accurate reporting.

Responsibilities include instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, phlebotomy as needed, and supporting regulatory compliance. Requires a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology or related field and up-to-date certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field is required.
• Proficiency exam approval by HHS (HEW) required.
• 0–2 years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and high complexity lab tests with accurate results.
• Adhere to quality control procedures and resolve out-of-range data.
• Conduct instrument checks and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot instrument malfunctions and coordinate with staff.
• Ensure safety compliance following Laboratory Safety Plan.
• Assist with proficiency testing and data collection for accreditation.
• Collect urine drug screens and perform phlebotomy as needed.
• Collaborate with team to complete shift duties efficiently.
