Job summary

Freeman Health seeks a qualified Medical Technologist/MLS to perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in a high‑quality lab, ensuring accurate results and strict QC procedures. You will contribute to patient care by maintaining records, teaching staff, and supporting the lab across departments.

Required certifications (ASCP/AMT/NCHEW or equivalent), a Bachelor's in Medical Technology, and at least one year of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• MT/MLS (ASCP), MT (AMT), CLS (NCA), HEW or equivalent certification

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on blood and body fluids under minimal supervision while maintaining strict quality control.
• Maintain records and statistics according to regulatory requirements and assist in teaching new employees and students.
• Collect chain-of-custody urine drug screens as required and support all laboratory areas as needed to ensure quality patient care.
