Northwest Health Valparaiso FSED seeks a Medical Technologist I to perform routine and specialized moderate and high complexity tests on blood and body fluids. You will maintain quality control, troubleshoot instruments, and assist in data collection for regulatory compliance.

Some phlebotomy duties may be required. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field, and 0–2 years of acute care experience; ASCP/AMT/AAB certification is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field required.
• Passing score on Clinical Laboratory Technology Proficiency exam approved by HEW/HEW.
• 0-2 years acute care experience required.

Responsabilités

• Performs moderate and high complexity laboratory tests with accurate reporting.
• Adheres to quality control procedures and documentation.
• Conducts instrument checks and maintenance.
• Troubleshoots instrument malfunctions and notifies appropriate personnel.
• Ensures safety regulations and PPE usage are followed.
• Performs phlebotomy duties as needed and data collection for regulatory compliance.
• Collaborates with team to complete shift duties.
