Job summary

Western Arizona Regional Medical Center is seeking a Medical Technologist I to perform laboratory tests with minimal supervision. The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or a related field and involves troubleshooting instruments, conducting quality checks, and assisting in patient care through accurate testing.

The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with healthcare staff. Certification as a Medical Technologist is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent required.
• 0-2 years of acute care experience needed.
• ASCP or equivalent certification necessary.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and high complexity laboratory tests efficiently.
• Adheres to quality control procedures and troubleshooting as needed.
• Conducts daily checks and preventative maintenance on instruments.
• Communicates effectively regarding unusual results and quality control issues.
• Collects urine drug screens and performs phlebotomy duties as required.
