Job summary

La Paz Regional Hospital & Clinics in Parker, AZ is seeking a Medical Technologist for our Main Hospital. Full-time, day shift, hourly pay between $28 and $42 depending on experience.

The MT will procure and process laboratory specimens, report results, maintain records and participate in QA/QC. A BS in Medical Technology, Chemistry, or Biology and a completed internship are required; licensure not required now; certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology. Completed a Medical Technologist internship at a qualified medical facility.
• State Licensure is not required at this time.
• Experience as a Medical Technologist in the following specialties; blood bank, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and serology/immunology is preferred.
• Certification preferred.

Job Summary: Responsible for the procuring and processing of laboratory specimens and reporting results in all areas of the clinical laboratory. Maintains laboratory records. Follows laboratory policies and procedures; participates in quality assurance and adheres to quality control practices in the Laboratory.
