Vitalant is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our Coagulation Lab in Pittsburgh. You will perform routine and specialized coagulation testing, ensure quality control, and support a mission-led, high-regulation environment.

The role offers a daytime schedule with no weekends or holidays, a salary of $32.17 per hour, and comprehensive total rewards including medical, dental, 401K with match, tuition assistance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Science degree required (Biology, Chemistry, etc).
• Lab experience preferred.
• Experience performing routine coagulation tests is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Performs routine and specialized coagulation testing according to established laboratory procedures.
• Performs testing including PT/INR, aPTT, fibrinogen, D-dimer, and thrombin time.
• Performs and evaluates mixing studies and other follow-up testing for abnormal coagulation results.
• Performs coagulation factor assays and von Willebrand testing as applicable to laboratory services.
• Performs routine instrument maintenance, calibration, reagent preparation, and quality control.

Vitalant is hiring an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientists to bring skilled technical support to our Coagulation Lab in Pittsburg.

Salary : $32.17 / hour

Schedule : Days PT 8:00 AM- 4:30PM (24 hours week-3 days/week)

Future intent: Promote to Full time based on lab needs.

No weekends, No holidays, No on call
