Vitalant is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist to join the Coagulation Lab in Pittsburgh. You will perform routine and specialized coagulation testing in a regulated environment, with a mission-driven, patient-focused culture.

The position pays $32.17 per hour with a future path to full-time, no weekends or holidays, and day shifts. Location at 875 Greentree Road, Pittsburgh, PA is accessible by public transit and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Science degree required (Biology, Chemistry, etc).
• Lab experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs routine and specialized coagulation testing according to established laboratory procedures.
• Performs testing including PT/INR, aPTT, fibrinogen, D-dimer, and thrombin time.
• Performs and evaluates mixing studies and other follow-up testing for abnormal coagulation results.
• Performs coagulation factor assays and von Willebrand testing as applicable to laboratory services.
• Performs routine instrument maintenance, calibration, reagent preparation, and quality control.

Schedule: Days PT 8:00 AM- 4:30PM (24 hours week-3 days/week)

Future intent: Promote to Full time based on lab needs.

No weekends, No holidays, No on call
