Cook County Health's Neurophysiology Laboratory seeks an experienced technologist to perform EEGs, EP studies, and video-EEG on adults and children. You will assist physicians with seizure induction, EMGs, and Botox injections, while maintaining equipment and inventory.
Under the Medical Director, you will ensure lab records are accurate and compliant with infection control and PHI guidelines, contributing to safe, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on Cook County Health (CCH) policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at CCH. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

Under the supervision of the Medical Director of the Neurophysiology Laboratory, performs neurophysiology tests to include electroencephalograms (EEGS), evoked potential (EP) studies, and clinical video recording including video-EEG studies on adults and children. Assists physician performance of seizure induction studies, electromyograms (EMGs), and Botulinum toxin (Botox) injections. Maintains equipment, monitors inventory, and tracks laboratory output.
This position is functioning within a healthcare environment. The incumbent is responsible for adherence to all hospital and department specific safety requirements. This includes but is not limited to the following policies and procedures: complying with Personal Protective Equipment requirements, hand washing and sanitizing practices, complying with department specific engineering and work practice controls and any other work area safety precautions as specified by hospital wide policy and departmental procedures.
