We have an excellent opportunity for a Medical Technologist I to join our Clinical Pathology team in Greenfield, IN, dedicated to Early Development Animal Research studies. Daytime hours and no weekends!

The Medical Technologist performs established procedures for non-clinical testing across various laboratory disciplines, analyzing specimens and reporting results to the pharmaceutical company.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform established procedures for non-clinical testing in all assigned laboratory disciplines.
• Analyze animal specimens related to early development drug studies.
• Perform parallel testing, reagent validation, linearity, and stability studies.
• Document and resolve specimen discrepancies, notifying management if unresolved.
• Evaluate and troubleshoot collection and processing issues.
• Ensure test result validity through quality control procedures and interpret results.
• Resolve routine and non-routine assay problems.
• Prepare workstations and instruments for testing, operate instruments per SOPs.
• Manage reagents, process, and ship samples according to study instructions.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on instruments, documenting activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and completion of a 12-month Medical Technology training program OR a degree in chemistry, biology, or a related science with at least one year of laboratory experience.

Preferred: 1+ years of experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting.
