We are seeking a Medical Technologist to join our hospital laboratory team in Detroit. The ideal candidate brings recent hospital laboratory experience, strong technical skills, and a commitment to accurate, timely testing that supports patient care.

What You’ll Do

• Perform moderate and high complexity laboratory testing according to established procedures.
• Review and report results accurately, recognizing discrepancies and following appropriate escalation procedures.
• Perform quality control, routine instrument maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Support laboratory operations across multiple testing areas.
• Maintain complete documentation and follow laboratory quality and safety procedures.
• Participate in rotating on-call coverage throughout the week, including weekends.

Experience We’re Looking For

Recent hospital laboratory experience comparable to our testing environment, including:

• Blood bank and transfusion services
• General chemistry and immunoassay
• Hematology and coagulation
• Urinalysis and microscopy
• Point-of-care testing (POC)
• Blood gas testing
• Phlebotomy
• Quality control, instrument maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Moderate and high complexity testing

Successful candidates will demonstrate attention to detail, sound judgment, effective communication, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hospital setting.

Schedule

This is a full-time position scheduled for 40 hours per week, with rotating on-call coverage during the week and on weekends. Exact shift hours and daily shift length are being finalized and will be shared during the hiring process.
