Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida seeks a Medical Generalist Technologist to perform broad lab testing across multiple disciplines within an acute care setting. You will operate instruments, ensure timely, accurate results, and support patient care in collaboration with providers, nurses, and the laboratory team.

Requirements include Florida Medical Technologist license, ASCP certification, and BLS; at least 1 year of MT experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• State license and ASCP certification required.
• BLS American Heart Association certification.
• Minimum of one year medical technologist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests across chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, blood bank and other areas.
• Operate laboratory instrumentation and evaluate quality control data.
• Communicate critical results to providers and nursing staff; support safe and effective patient care.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain service excellence.

Medical Generalist Technologist performs a broad range of laboratory testing and analysis to support patient diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring within the acute care hospital setting. This role is responsible for conducting testing across multiple laboratory disciplines, including chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, blood bank, and other assigned areas, while ensuring accurate, timely, and reliable results. Operates laboratory instrumentation, evaluates quality control data, investigates testing discrepancies, and communicates critical results to support safe and effective patient care. Collaborates with providers, nurses, and laboratory team members to maintain efficient laboratory operations and compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.
