Job summary

Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Medical Generalist Technologist to perform a broad range of laboratory testing across chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, blood bank and other areas.

The role operates instrumentation, evaluates QC data, investigates discrepancies, and communicates critical results to support safe patient care. Collaboration with providers and nurses ensures efficient lab operations and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• State of Florida Medical Technologist License required.
• ASCP Certification required.
• Minimum of one (1) year medical technologist experience preferred.
• BLS American Heart Association

Medical Generalist Technologist performs a broad range of laboratory testing and analysis to support patient diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring within the acute care hospital setting. This role is responsible for conducting testing across multiple laboratory disciplines, including chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, blood bank, and other assigned areas, while ensuring accurate, timely, and reliable results. Operates laboratory instrumentation, evaluates quality control data, investigates testing discrepancies, and communicates critical results to support safe and effective patient care. Collaborates with providers, nurses, and laboratory team members to maintain efficient laboratory operations and compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.
