Job summary

Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga, AL seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our lab team. The MLT will handle computer entry of order data and perform tests in chemistry, hematology, and serology, ensuring CLIA-waived to high-complexity procedures with accuracy.

The ideal candidate has an Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, at least one year of lab experience, strong communication, and teamwork skills, and the ability to organize workflow and maintain

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology required.
• Minimum of 1 year of lab experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills expected.
• Ability to work as part of a team and coordinate with others.
• Proficiency in pipetting and operating laboratory equipment.

• The MLT is responsible for computer entry of laboratory orders, and performance of laboratory tests in the areas of chemistry, hematology, and serology.
• The applicant must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a knowledge and experience in performance of CLIA waived, moderate, and high-complexity laboratory procedures.

• Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
• Minimum of 1 year of lab experience required. The ideal candidate needs to be able to work as part of a team and must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Must possess excellent pipetting skills (single and multi-channel). Ability to organize workflow and coordinate with other team members.
• Ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions. Ability to express ideas clearly, concisely, and convincingly. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with facility members, students, residents, staff, patients and other third parties.
• Ability to operate computer, keyboard and printer.
