Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system, Ingalls Memorial Hospital, as a Medical Technologist (Generalist) in the Blood Bank and Core Lab department. Here, you will perform routine tests, operate state-of-the-art instruments, and provide blood services support for the hospital and patients. You will be responsible for quality control, instrument maintenance, and method development to support a broad menu of routine and esoteric tests, including antibody identification. This department provides laboratory testing to various related and unrelated healthcare entities, managed care organizations, non-affiliated hospitals, outpatient clinics, and private physicians' offices. We offer a full range of diagnostic services in both clinical and anatomical pathology. This position is a 100% onsite opportunity, and you will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area.
*Will consider Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), and MLS (Medical Laboratory Scientist) certifications*
Eligible for a Sign-On Bonus up to $5,000
Under direct supervision of the Lab Supervisor, the Medical Technologist will obtain, process, analyze, and report patient test results. Also, perform and interpret quality control and implement corrective action. Perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, and provide technical assistance to customers when appropriate. Pursues continuing education opportunities. Total responsibility is defined by levels of competence, experience, and participation. Performs other duties as assigned.

Compensation & Benefits Overview
UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
