Job summary

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) seeks Medical Technologists to support the VA Long Beach Healthcare System in Long Beach, CA. The role spans both Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology with rotation through areas trained and competent.

Qualifications

• Accredited bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science or related field and completion of an accredited clinical practice program.
• OR bachelor’s degree with 16 biology hours, 16 chemistry hours and 2 years post-certification clinical lab experience as MLT (ASCP-BOC).
• Minimum of 1 year MT experience within the last 3 years; demonstrated knowledge of laboratory medicine techniques.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through areas trained and competent.
• Perform chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, and transfusion medicine procedures.
• Perform advanced lab procedures, analyze deviations, and correct problems using scientific principles.
• Communicate predefined critical results affecting patient care.
• Maintain and calibrate analyzers; document maintenance and records.
• Perform QC/QA and corrective actions using statistics and performance improvement.
• Enter and verify results in the LIS; document deviations and corrections.
• Perform other duties related to Medical Technologist responsibilities.

Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science / medical technology / clinical laboratory science

NAACLS/CAAHEP/ABHES accredited clinical practice program
