Job summary

Children's of Alabama is seeking a part-time Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform laboratory tests on body fluids. This position is responsible for utilizing standard laboratory procedures and instruments to aid in diagnosing and monitoring diseases.

The ideal candidate must obtain MLS certification within 18 months and should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. A flexible schedule is required as this is a PRN position covering available shifts.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist or Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist – AMT required within 18 months of hire.
• Bachelors of Science or Arts in Biological Sciences is essential.
• No specific experience required.
