Job summary

Blood Assurance, Inc in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Medical Technologist for the 2nd shift (Sunday-Thursday 3:00pm-11:00pm) to join our lab team. The role involves processing blood components, donor testing, labeling and shipping blood, and supporting a busy reference laboratory.

Qualified candidates must hold MLS Certification, MT or MLT ASCP, and AS/BS degree. Blood bank experience is preferred but not required. We offer benefits and a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

Blood Assurance is seeking a compassionate, dependable 2nd shift, full-time Medical Lab Technician/Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our Chattanooga lab team. The schedule for this position is Sunday-Thursday 3:00pm -11:00pm, with a shift differential. The responsibilities for the Medical Lab Technician/Medical Laboratory Scientist include preparation of blood and blood components, labeling of blood, shipment of blood, and various clerical tasks.

The primary function:

• Donor Testing
• Reference Lab

Qualified candidates:

• Must have current MLS Certification, MT or MLT ASCP Certification,, and AS/BS Degree.
• Blood bank experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment with a positive, professional attitude.
