The position includes teaching responsibilities, collaboration with healthcare teams, and 2nd shift coverage with rotating holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related clinical laboratory science required.
• Passing score on the Clinical Laboratory Technology Proficiency exam approved by HHS (HEW) required.
• 0-2 years of acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and high complexity laboratory tests accurately and efficiently with timely reporting.
• Adheres to quality control procedures and documents checks and corrective actions.
• Conducts instrument function checks and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoots instrument malfunctions and notifies appropriate personnel.
• Ensures compliance with safety regulations and lab policies.
• Communicates results and issues with healthcare staff and supervisors.
• Collects samples and assists with phlebotomy as needed.
• Maintains accurate records and supports regulatory compliance.
