Shriners Children’s Spokane is seeking a part-time Medical Technologist to provide clinical laboratory services across chemistry, microbiology, hematology, and related areas, complying with regulatory standards. The MT will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and support quality assurance and performance improvement efforts.
Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology or a related science, MT/CLS certification, and a WA state license.
The Medical Technologist provides clinical laboratory services by accurately performing and evaluating diagnostic technical procedures in accordance with the established regulatory and accreditation standards for clinical lab science. Diagnostic procedures performed may include chemistry, microbiology, hemostasis, hematology, blood banking, urinalysis and phlebotomy. Functions as a member of an interdisciplinary team, and acts as a resource to staff and the general public regarding assigned areas of responsibility.
