HCA Florida Lake City Hospital invites qualified Medical Technologists to join our trusted healthcare team. You will perform accurate laboratory testing, manage records for patient results, and support the department in the absence of supervision.

We value independent thinking, attention to detail, and strong documentation practices. Licensure in Florida or the ability to obtain it during the interview is required, with opportunities to apply expertise across core MT disciplines.

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree is required.
• Bachelor’s in MT preferred.
• Minimum 1 year MT experience preferred.
• Florida Technologist License required or ability to obtain during interview.
• Specialties include Blood Bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology.

• Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing per instructions and timelines.
• Step in for the supervisor in their absence when needed.
• Complete all records and documentation for patient results.
• Perform stat procedures within turnaround times.
• Exercise good judgment in correlating and interpreting patient results.
• Review pending logs and resolve outstanding workloads; communicate with staff.
• Perform quality control procedures and handle all critical specimens.

Seeking aMedical Technologist / Med Techto provideexpertiseand champion results. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels the patient experience is as meaningful as we do.

What you will do in this role:

• Performaccurateandtimelylaboratory testing by analyzingproficiencytesting samples according to instructions and complete within the allowabletime frame
• Assume responsibility of the department asappropriate inthe absence of the supervisor
• Complete all required records/documentationpertaining topatient results
• Perform stat procedures within established turnaround time targets
• Demonstrate the ability to use good judgment and independent thinking in the correlation and interpretation of patient results. (Including performing delta checks, etc.)
• Review pending logs (OSR) and result logs; resolve any outstanding workload or communicate to staff relief
• Perform quality control procedures per protocol and handle all problem and/or critical laboratory specimens/test results

What Qualifications you will need:

• A 2 Year/Associate Degreeisrequired
• A 4 Year/Bachelors Degree in Medical Technologyis preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist preferred
• A State of Florida Technologist License isrequiredOR the ability to obtain a license during the interview process
• Technologist License in one or more clinical specialty areas: (Generalist highlypreferred)-Blood BankBank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology
