We have an ongoing need for Medical Technologists. This posting describes the basic responsibilities and requirements for this role. This medical technologist/microbiology position will provide diagnostic services in bacteriology, mycology, and serology for the Pennsylvania Animal Diagnostic Laboratory System (PADLS) at New Bolton Center, supporting UPSVM Widener Hospital, local veterinary practices, and the Pennsylvania agricultural industries.
This position is located at the New Bolton Center in Kennett Square, PA, approximately 33 miles outside Philadelphia. No public transportation is available at this location.
The role involves process quality control, equipment management, project/grant coordination, and inventory control. It also includes backup coverage for the Manheim Field Office courier rotation for the Microbiology/PEQAP laboratories.
Occasional lifting of 25-50 lbs, standing, walking, sitting, and stooping. Use of tools requiring high dexterity. Extensive safety training required. Alternative work schedules and protective devices may be necessary.
This position is contingent upon grant funding. Background checks may be required after a conditional offer.
