Job summary

Frankfort Regional Medical Center is hiring a Medical Technologist to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Biological, Chemical or Physical Science, or an equivalent credential.

AMT/ASCP registries are accepted, with ongoing education to maintain licensure. Preference is given to candidates with a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology or Laboratory Science and relevant MT/MLS experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related science required.
• Nursing degree considered with CLIA acceptable courses.
• Preferred: degree in Medical Technology or Laboratory Science.
• AMT/ASCP registry accepted; maintain licensure with continuing education.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Required -Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Biological, Chemical or Physical Science. Nursing Degree will be considered with the required CLIA acceptable courses.

Preferred -Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or Laboratory Science

Licensure/Certifications: Required-Successful completion of registry within 12 months of hire for anyone with a hire date on or after 1.1.2005. Continuing education to maintain registry/licensure as required. AMT and ASCP accepted.

Acceptable - Registry/Licensure in a specialty area will be considered.

Preferred-ASCP/ AMT/NCA/HEW. Continuing education to maintain registry/licensure as required.

Experience: Preferred - experience as a Medical Technologist/ Medical Lab Scientist
