Job summary

TEEMA Solutions Group is seeking a Medical Technician for a 383-bed acute care facility in Brooksville, FL. This role involves performing clinical laboratory testing across Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology, while also managing specimen collection and processing tasks.

The ideal candidate will hold an Associate's degree in Medical Technology, possess a Florida State License, and have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a hospital laboratory. Blood Bank experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Medical Technology with formal training required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Florida State License as a Medical Technologist required.
• Nationally recognized Medical Technologist certification (ASCP preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a hospital laboratory preferred.

Job description

This Medical Technician role is based at a 383-bed acute care facility in Bradenton, FL — a nine-time "100 Top Hospital" and "100 Top Cardiovascular Hospital" honoree located near the Gulf Coast.

The role. Working under the direction of a laboratory supervisor, manager, or director, the Medical Technician performs both stat and routine clinical laboratory testing across Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology. The position requires applying theoretical concepts of laboratory medicine with independent judgment to ensure timely, accurate results. The technician also handles non-technical responsibilities such as specimen collection, processing, and referral testing, and must be comfortable working independently and covering all areas of the lab.

What we're looking for.

• Associate's degree in Medical Technology with formal medical technology training required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Florida State License as a Medical Technologist required; licensure in all areas of the lab preferred, minimum of 3 areas required
• Nationally recognized Medical Technologist certification (ASCP preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Medical Technician in a hospital laboratory preferred
• Blood Bank experience preferred
