Job summary

Qualifications

Role Overview:

Performs diagnostic laboratory testing on various specimens, demonstrating clinical competencies in analyzing a wide range of tests.

• Prepares reagents, standards, and controls following prescribed procedures.
• Performs timely test analysis and maintains instruments through calibration and standardization.
• Researches and develops new procedures as assigned.
• Adheres to safety, hospital, department, and personnel policies.
• Utilizes computer systems for daily laboratory operations.
• Supports teamwork, quality improvement, and departmental productivity.
• Assists in training new employees and students.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related field preferred.
• Certifications such as ASCP, AMT, or eligible for certification preferred.
• Experience in blood banking, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, or urinalysis is advantageous.
• Must meet Pathway I, II, III, or IV educational pathways, including relevant training or certification standards.
• Strong computer skills and professionalism in healthcare environment required.
