Job summary

USMEPCOM is seeking personnel to conduct standardized medical orientations and comprehensive screenings for military applicants. You will manage medical records, assist with examination paperwork, and perform phlebotomy to collect blood samples for HIV and other tests.

You’ll dispatch specimens per safety regulations and operate related equipment. The role requires adherence to security and safety requirements, with occasional shift work and mandatory MHS GENESIS training upon onboarding.

Qualifications

  • Experience assisting with physical examinations and phlebotomy.
  • Ability to operate medical equipment safely and accurately.
  • Document medical information clearly and completely.
  • Familiarity with medical questionnaires and record keeping.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct standardized medical orientation briefings to applicants.
  • Administer comprehensive medical screenings (audiometry, vision tests, vital signs) to evaluate incoming military applicants.
  • Maintain applicant's medical records during the examination process.
  • Assist applicants in accurately completing required physical examination paperwork and medical questionnaires.
  • Perform phlebotomy procedures to obtain blood samples for HIV and other laboratory tests.
  • Dispatch clinical specimens to testing laboratories in adherence to safety and handling regulations.
