Job summary

Philips is seeking a Systems Engineer in Cambridge, MA to drive systems engineering activities across Hospital Patient Monitoring solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams to define system requirements for complex distributed software and ensure alignment across stakeholders.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 3+ years in systems engineering, MBSE, and familiarity with medical device standards. Office-based, with on-site presence in Cambridge.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Masters degree preferred in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in systems architecture/systems engineering, ideally in medical devices; experience with cloud, virtualization, networking and security is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering and SysML; familiarity with IEC 62304 is a plus.
  • Ability to elicit functional and non-functional requirements and communicate with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders providing technical and functional expertise across requirements hierarchy to ensure consistency.
  • Collaborate with Development, Test, Clinical Engineering, and Risk Management to clarify system functionality.
  • Model and analyze complex systems to define system-level requirements.
  • Drive SW FMEA for medical device software and solutions with multiple products.
