Job summary

Philips in Cambridge, MA seeks a Systems Engineer to help define and drive system engineering activities for Hospital Patient Monitoring solutions and cross-functional teams. You’ll contribute to complex distributed software and medical device systems, focusing on requirements, modelling, and FMEA.

The role requires 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, strong V-model knowledge, and familiarity with IEC 62304, cloud, and networking. Office-based, full-time with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in systems architecture/systems engineering, preferably for medical devices.
• Experience in enterprise software, cloud computing, virtualization, networking, and security.
• Bachelor's degree required; masters preferred in CS/BME/SE or related field.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder alignment skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive system-level requirements across complex distributed software and medical device systems.
• Collaborate with Development, Test, Clinical Engineering, and Risk Management to clarify functionality.
• Model and analyze complex systems; drive software FMEA for multi-product solutions.
• Support on-premise and cloud integration efforts for software, medical devices, and IT infra.
