Qualifications

• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be needed per specialty.
• No formal RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Engage in councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Use nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care from admission to post-discharge.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans in collaboration with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Uphold a culture of safety and continuously evaluate patient and unit outcomes.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies per protocols and procedures.
• Communicate effectively, provide feedback, and delegate appropriately within the team.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and maintain required certifications.
• Adhere to ANA Code of Ethics and practice ethical decision‑making for unbiased patient care.
• May delegate tasks to RNs, LPNs, NAs, and other personnel as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units or facilities within the service area as needed.
• Demonstrate knowledge of age-specific patient needs and adapt care accordingly.
