Job summary

Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center in Bolivia, NC seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse for a Medical-Surgical unit. The role is PRN with 12-hour nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM), involving assessments, care planning, medication administration, and patient advocacy within an interdisciplinary team.

You’ll receive hands-on orientation, mentorship from experienced preceptors, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 4 Year / Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
• Active RN licensure in the appropriate state; if inactive for 5+ years, refresher course may be required before reactivating.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates strong assessment skills to uncover the patient’s story and plan care.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to set priorities and goals.
• Acts as a patient advocate while implementing the care plan and educating patients.
• Administers medications and provides routine nursing care (IVs, dressing changes) and responds to emergencies (CPR).
• Continuously assesses progress and modifies the plan of care with the team.
