Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital – Janesville is seeking a Regular Night Shift RN for the Medical-Surgical Unit. Provides direct nursing care following established policies and protocols.

Responsibilities include nursing process execution, patient and family advocacy, and collaboration with the interprofessional team to deliver high-quality, person-centered care during 36-hour weekly night shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
• Minimum of 1 year registered nurse experience.
• BLS HCP certification and RN license in a state (Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin) or compact state.

Responsibilities

• Uses standards of medical-surgical nursing practice to increase quality of care and quality of life for patient and family.
• Establishes relationships and advocates for patient and family to develop an individualized care plan.
• Implements the care plan using the nursing process and evaluates patient outcomes.
• Develops assessment and management strategies considering patient’s holistic needs.
• Demonstrates knowledge of patient illness impact and status.
• Coordinates with interdisciplinary team to plan and evaluate care.
