Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – Janesville is seeking a RN for night shift PRN1 to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.

The role emphasizes patient advocacy, care planning, and collaboration with the healthcare team on the Med/Surg Unit. The position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and RN licensure in Wisconsin, with BLS HCP certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
• BLS HCP - American Heart Association (AHA) - Wisconsin location.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure by Wisconsin DSPS.

Responsibilities

• Uses standards of medical-surgical nursing practice to increase quality of care and quality of life for patients and families.
• Establishes effective relationships and advocates for patients to develop individualized care plans.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient care outcomes.
• Develops assessment and management strategies considering physical, cultural, social, and developmental factors.
• Coordinates with inter-professional team to plan and evaluate care.
• Educates patients and families to promote health and comfort.
