Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Brigham and Women's Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse (MA RN) to provide patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care. The nurse demonstrates initiative and clinical skill in caring for patients with complex needs and takes responsibility for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation under a nurse manager.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an approved nursing school with current registration in Massachusetts.
• A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required for newly licensed nurses.
• Prior experience in med-surg required; Pavilion experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate a plan of care for a specific patient assignment.
• Maintain continuity through clear and concise communication.
• Documents patient care in a manner compliant with nursing documentation standards.
• Develops a comprehensive discharge plan with appropriate resources and referrals.
• Administers medications safely according to established policies and procedures.
