Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis offers an Earn As You Learn (EAYL) program for nursing students entering the final semester of an accredited RN or LPN program. The starting practicum includes a $2,000 stipend (taxed) and a pathway into a Graduate Nurse position within Mercy.

Applicants must graduate in December 2026 and commit to at least six months of post-graduation employment. Participants will complete their senior practicum on Mercy’s Medical-Surgical Service Line alongside experienced nurses,

• Be enrolled in the final semester of an accredited RN or LPN nursing program (December 2026 Grad).
• Complete senior practicum within Mercy Hospital St. Louis Medical-Surgical Service Line.
• Accept a bedside nursing position with Mercy upon graduation.
• Commit to a minimum six-month employment agreement following graduation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision within the Medical-Surgical unit.
• Develop assessment and care plans for diverse patient populations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based care.
