This position has up to a $1,000 sign-on bonus. This position is Full-time Night shift, 7 pm to 7 am!

Responsibilities

Providence Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Medical-Surgical (Med / Surg) unit. The CNA will provide high-quality, patient-centered care under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) and other healthcare professionals. This role is critical in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of patients recovering from surgery or managing medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
  • Monitor and record patients’ vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
  • Provide basic patient care, including feeding, positioning, and assisting with ambulation.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and surgical procedures, ensuring they are comfortable and informed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to support patient care plans.
  • Assist in the administration of prescribed treatments and medications under RN supervision.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment.
  • Respond promptly to patient needs and call lights with compassion and professionalism.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:

Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.

Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.

Minimum six months’ previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
