A leading healthcare organization seeks a Medical Supply Technician to support sterilization and decontamination processes at James H Quillen Medical Center. In this role, you will manage reusable medical devices and ensure the safety and effectiveness of medical supplies. Applicants should be U.S. citizens with relevant experience or education, and rotational shifts are required.
The Medical Supply Technician (MST) is assigned to Sterile Processing Service (SPS) and provides support for procedures related to decontamination, high-level disinfection (HLD), sterilization of critical and semi-critical reusable medical instruments and equipment, and storage of reprocessed items at James H Quillen Medical Center (JHQMC). The MST manages Reusable Medical Devices (RMD) and single-use (disposable) medical devices.
Applicants pending completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be tentatively referred and selected but cannot be hired until all requirements are fulfilled.
Basic Requirements:
Additional provisions include eligibility under the Grandfathering Provision for current VHA employees and grade-specific requirements for GS-03 to GS-06 levels, including experience, education, and demonstrated KSAs (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities).
