You will support wards, clinics, operating rooms, and other facilities with sterile and non-sterile supplies, monitor expirations, and maintain stock records using barcode systems.

Qualifications

• A transcript must be submitted with your application if you are basing all or part of your qualifications on education.
• Only education or degrees recognized by the U.S. Department of Education from accredited colleges, universities, schools, or institutions may be used to qualify for Federal employment.
• If you are using foreign education to meet qualification requirements, you must send a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency with your transcript to receive credit.

Responsibilities

• Pulls stock inventory and delivers supplies to wards, clinics, operating rooms, and other hospital facilities.
• Monitors expiration dates and rotates stock to prevent outdates.
• Maintains stock records and uses barcode equipment to perform daily inventory checks.
• Distributes items according to established or ad hoc requirements in inventory systems.
• Receives supplies and ensures items are sterile and ready for use; cleans secondary areas per aseptic principles.
