The position requires federal time-in-grade eligibility, one year of specialized experience at GS-06 or higher, and strong leadership in logistics

Qualifications

• Time-In-Grade requirements for federal employees and veterans.
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-06 is required.
• Experience in planning, directing, and training staff in logistics and supply management.
• Physical requirements include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and pushing heavy carts.

Responsibilities

• Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates.
• Sets and adjusts short-term priorities and prepares schedules.
• Advises and instructs employees on work and administrative matters.
• Eliminates bottlenecks and guides production improvements.
• Evaluates work in new or complex situations with little precedence.
• Oversees supply distribution and inventory management in the medical center.
• Oversees receipt and storage of supplies; ensures timely delivery.
• Analyzes issues to render equitable, reliable decisions.
• Performs market research and records new products in the inventory system.
• Ensures recurring items are available and managed via the inventory system.
• Analyzes management reports to identify trends and resolve problems.
• Collaborates with vendors, contractors, and staff on logistics issues.
• Coordinates policy changes with staff; communicates across administrative and clinical teams.
• Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm; not a virtual position.
