Job summary

Western Hills Retirement, a Caring Place Healthcare Group Facility, seeks a reliable Medical Supply Clerk to safeguard inventory and coordinate orders to ensure uninterrupted resident care.

You will work with nursing staff to meet supply needs, prepare rooms for admissions, verify invoices, and maintain clean, safe storage areas. This role supports clinical teams and contributes to quality resident care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA with long-term care experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory of all medical supplies to support smooth facility operations
• Coordinate with vendors regarding orders, deliveries, and invoicing
• Communicate with nursing staff to ensure supply availability and needs are met
• Prepare rooms for new admissions by ensuring all required supplies are in place prior to arrival
• Review invoices for accuracy and resolve discrepancies as needed
• Ensure all supply storage areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards
• Assist with new staff orientation and ongoing training related to supply tracking systems
• Attend required in-service programs, workshops, and meetings
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, including universal precautions
• Perform other duties as assigned

Pay Rate: $15-$26/hour

What We're Looking For:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Basic understanding of inventory or supply management preferred
• Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Must be in good general health and free of communicable diseases
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday
• Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment or supplies exceeding 50 lbs as needed
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
