• Ability to manage credentialing activities and to interact with medical staff leaders and administration.

Responsibilities

• Initiates, oversees, and maintains credentialing activities and related documentation.
• Ensures compliance with legal, state, federal and Joint Commission standards and hospital policies.
• Prepares reports for department chairs, Medical Staff committees, and Board review; maintains minutes for surveys.
• Oversees meetings and provides guidance and resources to Medical Staff officers and department chairs.
• Develops orientation programs and coordinates data for new appointees for credentialing purposes.
