Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Corporate Medical Staff Supervisor to oversee the credentialing process across our IL facilities. You will lead a team of Medical Staff Coordinators, ensure timely initial applications and interim privileges, and maintain clear communication with medical staff committees and hospital services.

This on-site role travels among Illinois facilities and is not remote. The position emphasizes regulatory compliance, accuracy in credentialing, and supporting high-quality

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent education/experience.
• CPCS and/or CPMSM certification within 1 year of employment.
• Minimum of 3 years' Medical Staff Services and/or acute care hospital experience.
• Must have strong computer, communication, and writing skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical staff services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the credentialing process across the Prime Healthcare system.
• Manage and mentor a team of Medical Staff Coordinators.
• Ensure efficient processing of initial applications and interim privileges.
• Maintain effective communication with medical staff committees, departments, and hospital services.
• Ensure credentialing processes meet regulatory standards and support high-quality service.

Education

Associates degree or equivalent education/experience

CPCS and/or CPMSM certification within 1 year of employment

3 years' Medical Staff Services/acute care hospital experience

Strong computer, communication, and writing skills

Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Knowledge of medical terminology and medical staff services
