Job summary

Jackson Park Hospital & Medical Center is seeking a Credentialing Coordinator to ensure the credentialing department remains compliant with regulatory agencies and maintains data integrity across CAQH, IMPACT, and NPDB reporting.

The role leads the initiation and maintenance of initial appointment and reappointment processes for the medical staff, conducts primary source verification, and supports FPPE/OPPE reviews as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in credentialing and regulatory compliance for healthcare facilities.
• Ability to develop and implement credentialing policies and procedures.
• Coordinate initial appointment and reappointment processes for medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensures credentialing department is compliance with regulatory agencies
• Develops and implements policies and procedures for the credentials process
• Responsible for leading, coordinating, monitoring, maintaining the initial appointment and reappointment to the medical staff processes
• Conduct thorough background investigation research and primary source verification for physician appointment to the medical staff
• Assist with FPPE and OPPE reviews required for appointment and reappointment to the medical staff
• Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the credentialing process
• Submits and retrieves National Practitioner Database reports
• Maintain verification letters for outside requests and responds to inquires
• Maintains all insurance database systems, ie CAQH, IMPACT
